Where is Betvictor legal and illegal?

Betvictor have for a long time been registered and licensed in Gibraltar. As such, they are regulated by the government of Gibraltar under registration number 42734. Their registered address is Suite 23, Portland House, Glacis Road, Gibraltar.

Ownership Information

Betvictor as a company can trace its origins all the way back to 1946 when it was founded by William Chandler. The company remained in the Chandler family for many decades, passing from William to his son Victor and then to his son who was also called Victor. Since 2014, however, Betvictor has been owned by businessman and race horse owner Michael Tabor.

Operating Information

As long ago as 1998, Betvictor (then Victor Chandler) became one of the first major UK bookmakers to move their entire business offshore to Gibraltar. The company’s operational headquarters, therefore, are also found there.
