Don’t Forget Your Free Bet / Bonus…
If you’re not a regular punter but are thinking about opening an account to have a bet on your favourite TV show, keep an eye out for the free bet offer or bonus which your chosen bookmaker offers you when you sign up. All bookies nowadays offer these kind of promotions and they generally take the form of either free bets or of deposit bonuses.
Free Bets
With this offer type you’ll have to place a first bet of your own money to be rewarded with a free bet for the same amount to use on something else e.g. bet £25 get a £25 free bet. However sometimes you’ll get better terms so you might only need to bet £10 to get £30 in free bets.

Deposit Bonus
For this offer bookmakers credit bonus funds to your account based upon how much you initially deposit with the company e.g. 100% deposit bonus so you deposit £20 and get a £20 bonus straight away. You can then split the funds as you please to place as many bets as you wish but you can’t withdraw the bonus directly, only the money you win when betting it.
There aren’t any bonuses of this nature kicking around at the moment… the most similar offer on the market is the bet credits available at Bet365.
Which Bookmaker is Best?
If a number of different bookmakers offer markets on the TV show you want to bet on, it is up to you to choose which one to go with.
There are a number of things to consider when making that choice, including the generosity of the welcome bonus (as discussed above), the reputation of the bookie, the security their site offers, the range of markets that are available, the features they have and if or not they have a betting app for your mobile phone.
