Coral is licensed by the Gambling Commission of the United Kingdom and its license number is 001-002365-R-102407-001. Unusually, the other areas of the site – such as poker and bingo – are licensed by different countries. The name used for licensing purposes is EurobetUK Ltd.
Because Coral is regulated by the Gambling Commission, it must ensure that:
- It provides assistance to those using the site who begin to suffer from a gambling related problem.
- It provides a completely fair and transparent system whereby customers are not exploited for financial gain.
- It takes all necessary steps to ensure that those under the legal age to gamble are unable to use the site.

Review of Coral Markets
The fact that Coral are such a well-known name in the world of sports gambling means that they have a large customer base. This in turn means that they have to supply a large amount of different markets in order to make sure that all of their customers are happy. The sports that can be bet on at Coral are:
American football, bandy, basketball, boxing, cricket, cycling, darts, football, formula one, futsal, golf, greyhounds, handball, horseracing, ice hockey, Olympic sports, rugby league, rugby union, snooker and tennis.
The list of sports above should have nearly everyone’s wishes covered and each category also has a number of different subcategories. For example, with football it is possible to select from a whole multitude of different leagues around the world, and with boxing all of the different weights are covered. There are also markets for things like reality television and politics, for those who like more unusual bets.
Coral were due a big overhaul of their live betting section and thankfully recently that happened. The homepage of the in-play section shows all of the different live events currently being bet on, and it also shows events that are due to start soon. To find out more information on the specific event, click on the event and you will be presented with all of the latest odds and statistics.
Once you’ve accessed an event, instead of the very low key live scores screen along with the odds in the main content area, you now get much more detailed game stats and live odds. There’s plenty of in-play options although the odds section of the screen is seriously crowded and could do with better sorting options.
To get to the in-play section of the website simply click on the ‘Bet In Play’ tab at the top of the page, which can be found second from the left in the top menu.
Another recent update at Coral has seen the addition of a live streaming service to their sportsbook. However it’s a dialed down version of what’s available at Bet365 with only 5,000 live events shown per year across football, tennis, snooker, rugby and basketball. The service is further reduced as a mobile offering with only football and tennis available via the coral betting app.
Live streams are shown alongside live odds and games offered are marked with a little TV icon in the in play betting section.
Bottom line: there are much better live betting/streaming sites and if that’s what you’re into we recommend you check out our Bet365 review – you will not be disappointed!

Review – A- Grade Explained
We kicked off our review by displaying the fact that we’ve given Coral an A- grade. This is the third best grade any site can achieve behind A+ and A. Let us explain why we’ve graded the Coral bookmakers as we have.
First and foremost pretty much every punter has heard the name Coral bookies at some point. They’ve got shops up and down the country and have a flawless rep among online gamblers. They are regulated and licensed in the UK and you can be sure your money is always safe with them and that they will pay out on all winning wagers – that’s a good starting point and very important to us.
Secondly they do provide a wide range of markets on their site and they’ve got a decent, albeit dated, live console available to users. There’s a £20 free bet when you join and there’s a couple of promo’s to take advantage of.
There are some downsides with Coral though which have prevented them from getting the A or A+ rating. There’s no live streaming at all which is a negative. The site and live suite are dated and the live scores service they offer through their live section is minimalistic to say the least.
Coral are a good solid option for any online punter, they are trustworthy and that matters but if you’re looking for something a bit more modern and state of the art then check out our Bet365 review – we know you’ll like them.
