Euro U21 Final Tips: Friday June 30th

U21 Football TipsNo luck in the semi finals with my Euro U21 football tips, but regardless of how those tips did, or even how my final tip does, I am already certain to post a very healthy profit from the tournament.

Following England U21’s inevitable defeat on penalties to Germany U21, it is the Germans who have the somewhat unenviable task of taking on Spain U21’s in the final after they beat Italy U21 3-1 on the back of an outstanding hat-trick from Atletico Madrid ace Saul Niguez.

The midfielder is now the competition’s leading scorer with five goals in total and he is the man Germany will have to stop if they are to stand any chance of repeating their 2009 final success.

It promises to be an interesting final on Friday night and should put a high quality finish on what has been an enjoyable and profitable tournament to watch and bet on.

Analysis:

There is little doubt in my mind that by far the best team at Euro 2017 this summer has been the exciting Spanish team. Defensively they have looked very strong albeit they haven’t been unduly tested by any of their opponents thus far, but it is going forward where they look so dangerous with Saul Niguez undoubtedly the player of the tournament.

Germany though have done remarkably well with what is essentially an under-strength u21 side but despite coming through a nervy game against England, where both sides missed golden chances to win the game outright, they are going to have to step up several levels in performance against the Spanish.

In truth, while I was impressed with this German team going forward against an England side that lost their way in both halves of the game, defensively I thought the Germans looked very vulnerable and while England wasted glorious chances to score, I cannot see Spain doing the same.

Italy defeated Germany 1-0 in the final group game in Group C, but Germany despatched them 3-1 with ease in the semi final. It would not surprise me therefore if the final scoreline on Friday evening is something very similar in the Spanish youngsters favour.
