The Top Event of 2026

The FIFA World Cup (June to July)

A newly expanded tournament sees 48 teams competing across 12 groups initially, with 32 progressing into the knockout phases. Argentina are the current holders and expected to put up a strong defence of their crown with the likes of Spain, France, England and Brazil amongst the favourites to perform well at the tournament.

Scotland have been drawn into a group with Brazil, Haiti and Morocco, while England will face Croatia, Panama and Ghana in their group. Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all harbour hopes of landing one of the available playoff spots remaining to join them in the summer, when those games are played in March 2026.

Without doubt, this will be one of the biggest and most prestigious sporting events of the year and will certainly be a hugely popular one for betting enthusiasts.
