Best Bookmakers for Football Accumulators

Author: Last Updated: October 21, 2022

Best BookmakersA common question I get asked on an almost daily basis running my accumulator tips website is: which is the best bookmaker to use for football accumulators?

Obviously the best bookmaker is going to be the one with the best price for your bet but this changes so much with acca’s that unless you want 300 betting accounts (which I don’t) you need a better strategy.

Using odds comparison sites just isn’t practical… not to mention the fact that these comparison sites aren’t always totally accurate and prices often differ once you click through to bet.

That doesn’t mean good odds aren’t important though. To highlight this here’s a comparison of a quick football accumulator from this weekend, I’ve taken the top five prices to highlight my point.

Bookmaker Odds £10 Stake Returns
Betvictor 30.15 £301.50
Bet365 29.05 £290.50
Betfair 28.34 £283.40
Paddy Power 26.54 £265.40
William Hill 20.65 £206.50

*Note: there’s a strong chance the odds comparison site used has a technical error on the Will Hill price but none the less I’ve included it to highlight the issue.

As you can see, the odds range massively from the highest to the lowest and this is super common with accumulator bets. You can make over £100 per £10 staked more by betting with the highest priced bookie (Betvictor) compared to the lowest (William Hill).

Even the mid-range prices such as Paddy Power, which I know many of you reading will use religiously, will give you £45 less per £10 staked than top bookie.

Stop getting less money for the same bet and start betting with your “bookmaker group”.

What is a bookmaker group?

I know that it’s not possible to have 20+ betting sites on the go, have them all funded and ready to use. It’s too much to manage for most casual punters and I’ve even found that it doesn’t suit my style either.

It’s for that reason that I want to introduce you to having a betting group. This group will contain your top 5 bookmakers that are always there or thereabouts when it comes to pricing. You might not always get the best price using this strat, but you won’t be too far off to make a huge difference.

Here are my recommendations for a betting group and they also just so happen to be what I think are the best bookmakers for football accumulators in the business right now…

Best Betting Sites For Football Accumulator: Top 5

#1 Bet365.com

Bet365Bet365 are my go-to bookmaker and have been for almost 10 years now. I find they are often one of the best-priced bookies and this is a testament to the fact that I’ve placed more of my bets here, than any other bookmaker over that time frame.

There are a few tools that I’m particularly keen on that help with acca betting. The first one that I like is that of the in-play betting section. This may sound odd, but when the games have kicked off, you can track what’s going on with each game in terms of score, notable statistics and an overview of what’s happening from their “Match Live” section.

Their betting app, for me, is one of the best and it functions better than the majority that I’ve tested. I love that they are constantly tweaking the app to make it better, such as moving menu bars to work more efficiently on larger smartphones. This evolution is something that I really like from the brand.

Finally, their cash out section is a great inclusion for acca punters, and it comes with a partial cash-out feature, meaning that you can bank a portion of your bet if you prefer.

#2 Betvictor.com

BetvictorNext up I want to include BetVictor. These guys are right behind bet365 for me and have been a happy hunting ground over the years. Whilst I’ve placed more bets with bet365, I’ve won more on BetVictor, which means I’m always delighted to see that they are the best price for my bet.

BetVictor is a little more simplistic in terms of features and compared to the likes of bet365 they are easier to work with if you are new to the industry. Their clean design and bias towards football betting is something that I enjoy, although I know some find it frustrating when betting on other sports.

In terms of acca betting, I find BetVictor to be more of a place where you stick your bet on and just let it run. They do offer cash out, but I’ve found that they aren’t all that well priced, although their pre-match odds are right up there.

The key reasons that I keep coming back are the odds, the range of games, simplistic design and the fact that they are often keen to send random offers your way, such as free bets and bonuses. These offers aren’t huge in monetary value, but anything that you get as an incentive from the bookmakers has to be grabbed with both hands.

#3 WilliamHill.com

William HillThese guys are one of the oldest bookies in the world and they probably the most iconic as well.

If I were writing this article just a few months ago, I’d be slating the design and layout of their bookmaker, but they have recently updated and it’s so much better. Not perfect, but a much better interface on both desktop and mobile.

The reason that I include them in my group is that they are one of the few bookies that offer Acca Boost to their customers.

This is a boost that is applied to all bets with 3 or more selections in and the boost can be quite substantial as well.

Pro Tip: odds comparison sites will not include the acca boost price, just the normal price. You need an account to log in and see the boost price, but you won’t need to place the bet, which is good if you are researching. When you see that William Hill are somewhere near best price, then jump on their site to see how far Acca Boost can take you.

I like that William Hill are fans of the “long list” style for football betting and this means you can get all games that are coming up from that league in one list. It may sound pretty simple, but it’s certainly something that not all bookies offer and when you use it, then jump to a bookmaker that doesn’t have it, it does make a difference.

Other features on the William Hill site that I like include live streaming, their Match Centre which has been another beneficiary of the fairly recent design update and the range of games and markets that are included in the package.

#4 Betfred.com

BetfredNext up for me is Betfred. So, these guys I only use sparingly, but they can come good for some bets, so I like to keep them active.

One of the reasons why I like to use them is because of their Goals Galore list. If you don’t know what this is, then it’s basically a long list of football matches that Betfred create and then you can pick games from that list where you think both teams will score at least 1 goal each.

Goals GaloreThe BTTS (Both Teams to Score) bet is nothing new in the betting industry and pretty much all bookies offer this market these days, but with Betfred, you get a fixed price that is related to the number of selections that you choose.

Which if checked against other bookmakers can be a boosted price! For more on that on visit Cheeky Punter’s football betting sites page.

I like to include BTTS bets in my accumulators and even though it’s not one of my main markets, there are times where I find a string of games that offer good value. If this happens, then I jump across to Betfred to see if the BTTS long list might offer me better odds.

Aside from Goals Galore, I do like Betfred for other reasons as well. I stopped using them for a good while as I couldn’t stand the dated design of the site, but their latest version is much better and much more in-keeping with modern-day betting.

Price wise, they are decent. They are another that I won’t use every week, but now and then they crop up with the best price and then it makes sense to keep them in rotation. The simplicity of their betslip, the cash-out function and that they offer a wide range of games from a wide range of leagues, all combine to make them a solid addition to my betting group.

#5 Betfair.com

BetfairThe final inclusion of my top 5 bookmakers for accumulator betting is that of Betfair. I’ve used these guys a lot over the last decade or so and their exchange is easily the biggest and the best in the industry.

From an accumulator point of view, they are often competitively priced, so they play a role in this regard, but I actually really like the overall package that you get with Betfair and it’s streets ahead of the majority of bookies.

The live streaming platform is still one of the best and Betfair were one of the first to offer this, free, as part of every account. I love watching as many games as I can consume, which is one of the ways that I’ve become so comfortable with so many leagues around the world, and Betfair allows me to do this better than most.

Design and layout of both the desktop site and the mobile app are as good as you will find. They possibly don’t have the market coverage that some of their competitors do, but to be honest, I don’t use a huge range and the ones that I do are pretty common throughout each of the major bookies.

The link up to the exchange is another standout feature and the ability to both back and lay bets on here is a massive tool. Granted, you can’t really lay accumulator bets, but you can identify certain games that might let you down and get some cover for these games. I won’t get into that here, but it’s one of several ways the exchange can be used to limit liability with your accumulators.

Finally, I love that Betfair goes the extra mile with their content. Their blog is one of the best about and this is because they get quality writers from within the game and even ex-pros that can also offer an insight into certain matches. It’s an area that many bookmakers overlook, so when you see it done so well with Betfair, you know it’s the others that are missing a trick here.

Wrap up

These are the best bookmakers for accumulator betting as judged by me and they are the ones that I use the most for my bets.

If you are one of those punters that are just using the single bookmaker, I can guarantee that you are losing money by doing so, even if you were with a bet365 or BetVictor (my top two picks).

A betting group is something that is very easy to set up and all you need to do is make sure that they are ready to go and as and when you need them. Don’t worry too much about who you use, just make sure you’ve a diverse range and at a least a couple of the ones that I’ve mentioned above.
