My Favourite Betting Sites and Why

Favourite Betting SitesOf late I’ve had quite a few people ask me what my favourite betting sites are and why I tend to only stick with two bookmakers even when, on occasion, better odds can be found elsewhere.

Wondering who I am? – read my about page.

Well if you’ve read my safe betting sites post (which I strongly recommend you do) then you’ll already know one of the main reasons but there are other reasons and I intend to explain them in this post.

I’ll start by explaining which two sites are my personally favourite online bookmakers and include the main reasons why.

My Favourite Online Bookies and Why

I’ve got two favourite bookmakerss and as you can probably guess (if you’ve looked at the reviews section of this site) these are Bet365 and BetVictor.

Whenever anyone asks me which sites I recommend I always respond with the same two names. Here’s why:

Best Odds Guaranteed On Horse Racing

The vast majority of my online betting takes place on either horse racing or football and when betting on the horses I don’t want to worry about taking the wrong price because I’m not around to monitor the market before the start of the race.

The best odds guaranteed promotion gives me peace of mind. Basically if I take an early price on any horse and the SP (starting price) of that horse is higher than the price I took then the bookies will pay out at the bigger price.

This also allows me to take a price as insurance. If the market moves for the better I’ll still benefit from the better odds but if the horse shortens at the start of the race then I’ve still got a great price.

Best Football Betting Odds

When it comes to betting on football my favourite option is BetVictor. If you’ve seen their latest advertising campaign then you’ll know that they have been independently verified as having the best odds on football matches. This doesn’t mean they have the best odds on every single game it just means that they are more likely to have a better price than any other online bookmaker.

Update: They were previously independantly verified by OddsChecker as having the best football odds over 3 football seasons in a row.

I’ll be honest with you and say that I won’t be getting the best possible odds every single time but at least with BetVictor I know the majority of the time the price I take is going to be better than can be found elsewhere. I don’t want to have to manage 300 betting accounts just so I can get 2.456 instead of 2.45 – it’s just not worth it.

There are a couple of other football promotions you might be interested in at BetVictor as well. To read about these check out my review of Betvictor and scroll to the prmootions section.

Free Bets / Signup Bonuses

I know that some punters won’t even consider joining a betting site unless there’s a welcome bonus on offer and in this regard neither of the above options disappoint.

Betvictor LogoBetVictor are offering all new account holders a £30 bonus when they open their account. It’s a simple offer by which of you open an account, deposit £5, bet that on any market as long as the odds are 2.0 or higher and within a 24 hour period BetVictor will automatically add a £20 in free bets (2x £10 bets) to your account balance and £10 in casino bonus (40x wagering).
