NFL Season Preview – Who Can Challenge The Seahawks This Season?

Who will be the team to try and usurp the Seattle Seahawks as the Super Bowl Champions in the 2026/27 NFL Season? After a busy period of free agency, the drama of the NFL Draft, and the usual round of mini camps and warmup games, the NFL season kicks off on Thursday 10th September. 

And we begin with a repeat of last year’s Super Bowl as the New England Patriots take on the Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle.

Mike Vrabel’s Patriots are expected to be one of the teams to challenge for the top prize in the NFL this season, but who are some of the others?

In this preview, we will take a look at all eight NFC and AFC divisions, and give you our predictions for how we see each division finishing, as well as the teams we expect to make it into the playoffs and beyond this coming season.

Qualifying for the Post-Season

Seven teams from each conference qualify for the post season. The top four teams in each division qualify for the playoffs along with the next best three teams from any division with the best records. 

The team with the best record in each conference receives a bye in the first round of Wildcard games. 

The remaining six teams playoff against each other in the Wildcard rounds. This is followed by a 2-match Divisional Round and the Conference Championship in each Conference. 

The two winners of these games then meet in the Super Bowl in Los Angeles in February 2027.
