Premier League Darts Night Three – 3Arena, Dublin (20th Feb)
Quarter-finals
- Luke Humphries v Stephen Bunting
- Gerwyn Price v Luke Littler
- Rob Cross v Nathan Aspinall
- Michael van Gerwen v Chris Dobey
Night three begins with a cracking match with two-time nightly finalist Luke Humphries the hot favourite to get the better of Stephen Bunting, who is yet to win a game in the tournament so far. The bookmakers have Humphries the hot favourite to progress into the semi-finals in this clash between the top and bottom of the current Premier League Darts table.
Second up is the best game of the quarterfinals tonight as Gerwyn Price, who made the semi-final last week in Glasgow, takes on Luke Littler, who won the Glasgow event in remarkable fashion. This should be a high-scoring shootout with current World Champion Littler the favourite to progress with bookmakers.
The penultimate quarterfinal is the most open of the four games as Rob Cross seeks to add to his sole victory in the competition this year against Nathan Aspinall, who is yet to win a match in the Premier League this season. This one should be a close one, reflected by the close odds between the two with bookies.
Finally, the last quarterfinal pits Michael van Gerwen against Chris Dobey. Dobey, a surprise finalist in Week 1, couldn’t match that last week and has a tough start against van Gerwen who has won both his previous quarterfinal matches in the tournament thus far.
Our tip for Night 3 Winner
With the two Lukes, Littler and Humphries drawn to meet in the semi-final, it will likely be the winner of that tie that goes on to claim the win on the night. I’m backing Humphries to edge out van Gerwen in what should be an interesting final!
