The Masters 2025 – Golf’s First Major of the Season Promises to be Spectacular!

It has been an exciting build up to the first Major of the golf season and this week it is time for the manicured fairways and greens of Augusta to offer their yearly challenge to the best golfers in the world. It is Masters week and it should be a fabulous week of golf!
Let’s begin with a look at the schedule for the week ahead at Augusta National.
The Masters 2025 – Schedule
- Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th April – Practice Days
Players are able to practice on the course in the first two days of the week ahead of the tournament’s official start on Friday.
- Tuesday 8th April PM – Champions Dinner
The previous year’s Masters Champion hosts an annual dinner to which all living former Champions of The Masters are invited. The host gets to pick the menu for the dinner. Scottie Scheffler, after winning in 2024, will host and select the menu for the 2025 Champions Dinner.
- Wednesday 9th April – Par-3 Competition
The highlight of Wednesday is the friendly, yet competitive par 3 competition, played on Augusta’s nine-hole Par 3 course. This is a less formal competition but the winner of the par-3 competition has never gone on to win the Masters in the following days.
- Thursday 10th April 6 am – Ceremonial Start of Masters
The first tee shots played at The Masters are ceremonial shots played by golfing legends. In 2025, as has been the case since 2022, the three players that will take the first ceremonial tee shots to open the tournament will be Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson.
- Thursday 10th April – Masters Day 1
Just a short time after the ceremonial tee shots are played, the tournament begins with the first group out on the course and teeing off a short time later as the First Round begins.
- Friday 11th April – Masters Day 2 – Cut announced
Friday is a key day in the Masters as after the day’s play is concluded the cut will be announced, in addition to fresh pairings (based on score) for Saturday.
- Saturday 12th April – Masters Day 3
So-called ‘moving day’ in the Masters, the third round is a chance for players to play themselves into, or out of, contention for the final round.
- Sunday 13th April – Masters Final Round
The final day sees the tournament completed with extra holes played in the event of a tie. Afterwards, the winner is presented with the trophy and also the previous champion presents them with a Green Jacket.

The Masters 2025 – Our Top Tips (Win & Place)
To Win – Bryson DeChambeau – 18/1
The big-hitting American is a LIV Golf player but performed well at Augusta last year before fading in the later two rounds. He will have learned from that and he is in great form heading into this event.
To Place – Sepp Straka – 66/1
The Austrian has never missed the cut at The Masters and finished 16th last year, his best position in the event. He has had a superb season so far, winning the American Express in February and is a great each way option at 66/1.
