Who Comes Off The Board Early In The 2025 NFL Draft This Week?

This coming week, the 2025 NFL Draft will take place at Lambeau Field and Titletown District in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The action begins on Thursday 24th April as follows:

• Thursday 24th April – 2025 NFL Draft – First Round. 
• Friday 25th April – 2025 NFL Draft – Second and Third Rounds.
• Saturday 26th April – 2025 NFL Draft – Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Rounds.

In total, there will be 257 picks across the seven rounds this year, with the Tennessee Titans having the first overall pick and Kansas City Chiefs currently holding the final pick, who will become Mr Irrelevant of the 2025 NFL Draft!

Recent history suggests that there are likely to be just two or three players likely to go first in the NFL Draft.

Modern history shows quarterbacks are most often the top picks, with offensive linemen (especially tackles), defensive linemen (especially Defensive Ends or Edge Rushers) coming next in popularity. 

Some positions have been devalued by teams over the years, with running backs now less likely to be a top ten pick and wide receivers or corners not likely to be selected as a top pick.
