Visa Betting With Bet365

5|5

What are they like?

It’s no secret just how much we love what Bet365 offers with our 5/5 review meaning they are one of just two betting sites to hold that rare accolade. Both the website and bet365’s mobile offering are outstanding offering a massive choice for the punter including the best live streaming service online, outstanding statistics and data provision and of course a fantastic choice of markets.

Bet365 offers a fantastic betting experience for Visa customers with deposits starting at just £10 and a great value starter offer for new customers. Add to that superfast and reliable withdrawals and the best Live Streaming and In Play betting service you can find online and every key box is ticked.

We think bet365 and betting with Visa is a hard combo to beat and as such, we’d highly recommend them top of pile when it comes to the best Visa betting sites. Hit the button below to sign up and claim the current bonus offer.

Visa Betting With Betvictor

5|5

What are they like?

It’s no surprise that our other 5-star provider, BetVictor is amongst the companies that we consider one of the best Visa betting sites around. Not only is its starter bonus great value, but its website and in particular, it’s mobile service is second to none for punters in our view.

From the moment you claim the superb value starter bonus, BetVictor ticks all the right boxes. The odds are generous, especially for football, winnings are withdrawable quickly (from 1-6 days if you use Visa) and you can deposit as little as £5 using this payment method.

The only slight let down with BetVictor is that its Live Streaming service isn’t as extensive as bet365 Sport, however, its mobile service is, in our view, better than bet365’s offering and there are many other positives that mean it is a great option for Visa card customers.

Visa Betting With Coral

4.5|5

What are they like?

So, you want to bet with Visa on Coral? Well good news, this site has been much improved over the years and now offers punters a very good selection of betting options, including generally decent odds, a fantastic range of promotions and superb live streaming. Coral is richly deserving of its 4.5/5-star rating with us.

With deposits starting at £10 for Visa customers and withdrawals taking 3-5 days, Coral offers a pretty solid service and of course, given the wide range of promotional offers available on the site, some of which do not require a deposit, there is always good value to be found in these promotions and offers, as well as in the odds on site.

One thing to note for customers though is that compared to sites like BetVictor or BetFred, Coral can lack the volume of markets that these sites offer on some fixtures, which may be of interest to Visa users that like to place more obscure bets.

Visa Betting With William Hill

4.5|5

What are they like?

For Visa card customers, William Hill is one of the most recognisable names available in the UK online betting industry. One of the most respected names in the business, William Hill offers a good value starter offer, a massive choice of markets, solid live streaming and even its own radio service. However, middling odds means it gets 4.5/5 from us.

In our view, you can’t go far wrong with William Hill as a Visa customer. The site actively supports the payment method with deposits from £10 available and withdrawals taking around 3-5 days to complete as standard.

As you would expect from one of the biggest global names in sports betting and gaming, William Hill offers great value for Visa customers and a pretty decent value starter bonus too. It is easy to see why so many punters are more comfortable signing with this bookmaker given its excellent reputation.

Visa Betting With Paddy Power

4.5|5

What are they like?

There’s a great deal to love about Paddy Power, especially if you like your sports betting with a great deal of humour, some unusual markets and a great selection of options for Visa card customers. The site falls down a little on its starter bonus, and the value of its odds, which means it gets a 4.5/5 from us in our ratings.

The slightly disappointing introductory offer aside, we do like what Paddy Power offers for Visa customers which includes deposits starting at just £10 and withdrawals taking just 2-3 days to complete. That is quick even compared with some of the top rated companies on our list.

The thing that Visa card users need to weigh up with Paddy Power is whether the offer you get when joining and the odds on offer, make them a worthwhile site to sign up with as there are so many positives on the betting side of the site, it is just that the value lets it down a little at times.

Visa Betting With Betfred

4|5

What are they like?

There’s been a few issues with Betfred over the years, notably on its poker site and its mobile offering, but my word, they have done a grand job improving the site since then and now, having reviewed the new look site, we are happy to give it top marks 5* out of 5 in our latest review.

You can deposit from as little as £5 with your Visa card at Betfred, provided it is a debit card of course, and pleasingly, withdrawal from your account takes between 1-5 days, which is a pretty quick turnaround. With excellent live streaming services and an improved site design, Betfred has improved markedly over the years.

Furthermore, your Visa card deposits will mean you get to access all the great deposit-based bonus offers on the site, as well as being able to participate in a number of free to enter promotions many of which offer real cash as winnings.

Visa Betting With 888Sport

4.5|5

What are they like?

If you like sites that offer high integration across all its family of sites, alongside a very strong sports betting offering for Visa card holders, then 888 Sport is certainly one to consider. The site gets 4.5* out of five from us, perhaps just faltering a little on its live streaming and stats options.

For Visa card users, 888Sport offers a great selection of markets on each sport and a fine selection of sports to bet on. As you would expect with a very popular payment option, you will find that Visa payments are happily accepted by the site for all bonuses, including its goo value welcome offer for new customers.

One small thing to note with 888Sport is that its minimum deposit amount for Visa card users is the highest we can find in the UK at £20 and that is something you may need to know. Similarly, it’s pay out times for Visa payments are between 6-10 days, the longest in the UK.

Visa Betting With Betfair

3.5|5

What are they like?

If you like the freedom of being able to use your Visa card on a betting site or an Exchange, then Betfair is as good an option as many. The exchange part of the site is what gives Betfair it’s 3.5/5 review for us, but it is a good option for Visa card users for either form of betting.

One positive for Visa customers with Betfair is that you don’t get hit with quite so many charges as other customers using other payment methods, but we still feel that the charges and commission applied on the exchange can be a little excessive at times.

As is the case with all the betting sites in this list, if you use your Visa card to sign up on the sports book or the exchange, then you can access the bonus offers on each without any issue, however our opinion is that the sportsbook offering is the stronger introductory offer of the two.

Mobile Visa Betting Sites

Visa is one of the most commonly accepted forms of payment as you can see from the lengthy list of sites that accept it shown above, and that list is not exhaustive – you can probably use Visa (debit, not credit card) at almost any sportsbook of note in the UK.

That said, when it comes specifically to mobile betting, what is your prime option? Well, given that technically all bookmakers are mobile Visa betting sites, we are looking for a site that is generally considered not just to be one of the best, but one of the best of the best and for us, when that comes to mobile betting, there is one name that stands out; BetVictor.

#1 Betvictor App (Visa Accepted)
5|5

App stats:

  • Bonus: Bet £10 get £40
  • Size: 97.2MB
  • Speed: Excellent
  • Stability: Very Reliable and stable
  • Compatible: Android & iOS

With so many top quality providers to choose from for Visa betting, it is very much a case of finding out who is the best of the best when it comes to mobile betting in the UK and for me there are two clear front runners in this race, Bet365 and BetVictor and while Bet365’s offering on mobile is fantastic, I just think BetVictor shades it.

There is so much to like with BetVictor’s mobile service for Visa customers. The app is quick and easy to find and download for either Android or iOS devices and once you are into the app, it is clean, easy to follow, well set out and very user-friendly. There is an intuitiveness to the BetVictor app that is hard to beat; where you feel items should be simply click and generally you find that they are. This makes using the app very simple.

Minimum deposits via Visa debit cards starts at £5 and there is a maximum withdrawal limit of £30,000 per transaction using VISA debit cards. You can withdraw as little as £10 per transaction on your mobile (and web-based) account which makes BetVictor a very flexible option for punters who like mobile betting.

Remember though, this Visa option is for debit cards only in the UK. No betting site in the UK can accept deposits via Visa Credit Cards any longer.

How To Use Visa Deposit: Deposits & Withdrawals

How to Deposit With Visa

Depositing into a betting account using Visa is very simple and there is not a great deal of difference between depositing to a betting site and making a purchase online from a retailer. The first step is to open an account with your betting site of choice (remembering of course to take your Welcome Bonus when you do). Once you have opened an account, you are then ready to deposit.

To do this, log in to your account and head to the banking section of the site, this is either going to be a separate section or will be enclosed in your account details link. From here, select deposit and then select the Visa deposit method.

Simply enter how much you wish to deposit into your account, then enter your card details and once completed, press the button to proceed. The funds should be transferred into your account instantaneously and ready for you to bet with immediately.

How To Use A Visa Card To Place A Bet

Visa CardUsing a Visa credit or debit card to deposit at any bookmaker be easier. This is assuming you already have a account with your chosen site. If not you can create one easily by going to their website and setting up a new account. You should find this an easy thing to do, and help in setting up a new account is available at all the online bookmakers.

Your next step once your account is active is to add some fund using your card details. To do this, find the section of your bookmakers’ website that allows you to deposit funds.

Paying with a Visa card generally requires you to enter the card name, card number, the expiry date and the security digits on the back of the card. The security digits are there to prove you actually have the card with you. If you’re paying by debit card, you’ll generally have to give the same details, however you may additionally need to provide the card start date too.

How To Deposit With Visa Card

Once you’ve entered your card details, all that’s left is to enter how much you wish to deposit. Once this has been confirmed your account will be credited, and you’re ready to start betting.

How To Withdraw With Visa

Using Visa debit as a withdrawal method is very easy and it is worth remembering that your Visa Debit card links directly to your bank account, so in many ways, it has the same outcome as making a bank transfer.

Log into your account and head over to the banking section and pick the withdraw option. You can then select how much of the available withdrawable balance you would like to withdraw up to the site limit (which varies from site to site). Select Visa Debit as your withdrawal method and then click proceed and the transfer should take place.

One thing to note is that to withdraw to a Visa Debit account, you are going to need to have used the card to deposit into your account first. Funds should be with you and in your account between 2 and 5 days from the withdrawal request.

However, if your bank offers Visa FastFunds, then you can receive your withdrawal within 30 minutes of it being approved from bookmakers (such as BetVictor) that are signed up with this service.

Pros & Cons Of Visa Betting Sites

Pros

  • Accessible & Popular – Visa is one of the most popular, accessible and acceptable forms of payment method you can use for online sports betting. Every site that accepts standard currency will likely accept Visa payments and withdrawals. Furthermore, it is likely that the vast majority of customers will also have a Visa card in their wallet or purse.
  • Low Minimum Deposit – With many sites offering deposits of just £5 with a Visa card, it is great value for smaller stakes punters. However, you can also deposit a great deal more with Visa if you are a higher stakes gambler too.
  • No Fees – As far as we can see, none of the sites we work with will charge you fees for depositing or withdrawing using Visa.
  • Can Also Be Used With An eWallet – If you are not keen on entering your Visa details each time you make a deposit with a bookmaker, you can use Visa to fund an intermediary service, such as an eWallet, and use this method to deposit instead. This method can still access funds from your Visa account and transfer cash to them, but none of your card or account details are used in the transaction, which keeps your data safer.
  • FastFunds – Betting sites that allow customers to make withdrawals using Visa’s FastFunds service can have their withdrawals in their account within 30 minutes of the withdrawal being accepted.

Cons

  • Credit Cards Not Accepted – As of April 2020, you are no longer allowed to use Visa credit cards (or any other form of credit card) to fund betting accounts in the UK. This means that you can only use your Visa Debit card to fund betting activities.
  • Slower Withdrawals – Unless your betting providers offers Visa’s FastFunds service, withdrawals using Visa can take between 2 and 10 days depending on your provider, which is not as quick as some other payment options (crypto currency and some eWallets for example)
  • Security – While the SSL technology used to ensure security with Visa payments is generally pretty good (especially if you are careful and follow guidance on how to deposit securely) compared to some other payment methods, using Visa with your sports betting account is not as secure. However, we must add a caveat here and say that it is still a VERY secure method of depositing and withdrawing if you follow simple online safety measures.

Countries Where Visa Can Be Used For Betting

Generally speaking, Visa cards can be used in almost any country in which gambling is legal around the world. Some countries, such as the UK for example, do not permit customers to make deposits using Visa Credit cards (as of April 2020) but payments using Visa Debit cards are still allowed.

Many other countries allow both forms of cards to be used to fund gambling accounts and given that banks do not restrict who you send payments to from your accounts, you should be able to use Visa cards anywhere that gambling is legal or permitted/tolerated.

Security: Stay Safe With Visa

We may have had security down as a ‘con’ for Visa payments, but that is only because newer payment methods utilise different technology to make them more secure. Visa still offers a huge amount of protection if you are intending to use it to wager online.

Follow The Guidance

GuidanceThere is a huge amount of guidance available on how to use your Visa card securely online, which includes information on all types of transactions. Follow this guidance when you are using your Visa card to fund the account and you won’t go far wrong. Most importantly always make sure you are on the official bookmakers website or app when making your deposit and never give out your card details via email.

Check Your Site Is SSL Secured

SSLWhen using any Visa betting site, you should ensure that your chosen site is using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to encrypt the details of your transaction so that nobody else can view the data.

This sounds complicated but is actually very easy to do. Simply check the address of the website you are depositing with and focus on the very start of the address, which should read https://. The ‘s’ is the crucial thing to note here. Standard sites often use http:// as the start of their address. The additional ‘s’ signifies that this site has been secured using SSL.

This is not only good advice for people depositing with bookmakers using Visa, but for any other site using any form of Visa or debit card financial transaction.

Use an Intermediary Payment Site (eWallet)

eWalletIf you don’t want to directly enter your card details into your betting account, then there is another way you can use your Visa card to fund your betting activities and that is by using a third-party intermediary site, such as an eWallet provider like Skrill or PayPal.

You’ll need to open an account with the provider of your choice and link your account with them to your Visa card. Then when you deposit with your betting site and use the eWallet provider you chose, they will use funds on your Visa card to deposit from and withdraw back to.

The only downside of this is that some providers will charge small fees for some transactions, most notably withdrawals, but if you feel that is a fair price to pay for the additional security these transactions offer you when using your Visa card, then these are good options.

Check Your Personal Details Are Up To Date With Visa

Personal DetailsIt is a good idea to check every 12 months or so that your Visa personal details are correct, It is very easy to forget to update a change of address, email or mobile number, or forget your passwords or codes on your account.

Reviewing these often not only ensures that you can remember this key information but allows you to keep it up to date ensuring that if you do need to contact Visa with an issue, you have the key information you need to hand and are not scrabbling around trying to remember passwords you set five or ten years ago.

About Visa

Visa is a company that offers customers credit or debit cards. Visa’s credit card accounts are held directly with Visa, whereas Visa Debit Cards are issued by whichever bank you hold your personal account with.

The Visa brand is one of the most recognisable names in global payment services.

While many countries accept payments to and from betting accounts using either Visa credit or Visa debit cards, the UK banned all forms of credit card payments into betting or gambling accounts in April 2020, this means that now UK customers can use only Visa debit cards to fund their accounts.

The Visa debit card allows for quick transfer of funds from your bank account to vendors and also from betting sites or similar, back into your bank account.

How Does Visa Work?

Visa Contact Information

If you have a Visa Debit card, then you are probably best getting in contact with the bank with which you hold your account as it is they that are more likely to be able to deal with any queries you have with your account.

However, you can also contact Visa in several ways.

Help Section – The Visa site offers an extensive Help and Customer Support section which will allow you to often find the answer to more simple queries without having to contact anybody any further.

Chat – The official Visa site has its own chat option which can out you in touch with a member of staff to help resolve your query.

Email – You can also contact Visa on its email service with a query and they will aim to get back in touch with you within 48 hours of your first contact.

Global Customer Services Freephone Numbers – As Visa operates around the world, the company offers a wide range of different freephone numbers for customers to contact the company with queries. A full list of these numbers is available on the Visa site.

Visa Company History

Visa is a payment method that has been in existence since 1958. Back then, it replaced a few locally used cards and was the very first multi-purpose card that was widely accepted.

The first Visa cards were credit cards, which meant that the company set up a credit account in your name with a set limit, and you were allowed to spend up to that limit and then pay off the debt. The larger the debt you incurred and the longer you took to pay it off, the more interest you would be charged on the debt.

However, changes in personal banking saw the addition of Visa Debit cards. These were not credit cards, but were instead linked direct to your personal account, meaning when you used the card for a transaction, the funds were taken (or deposited into) your personal bank account.

Visa is one of the biggest names in personal finance worth nearly $20 billion and being accepted all over the world and with millions of vendors online. Visa cards number in their billions all over the world and it is this popularity and the fact that they are so widely accepted which has made them such a popular payment method.

Visa itself employs around 6,000 people worldwide and their main competitors are MasterCard.

Visa Betting FAQs

Your questions answered...

How Long Do Visa Deposits And Withdrawals Take?

Standard deposits into your betting account at all Visa betting sites are usually completed instantaneously. A standard withdrawal can take between 2 and 10 days depending on the betting provider.

However, if your betting site offers Visa FastFunds as an option, then withdrawals using this service can take just 30 minutes from approval.

Are There Any Fees If I User Visa Deposit?

If you use your standard Visa card to make a deposit or withdraw from a sports betting site in the UK, then there are no charges to pay on those transactions – that is you use any of the bookmakers from the best Visa betting sites list on this page.

However, if you use your Visa card in tandem with a third-party provider or eWallet service, then you may be charged fees on some transactions.

Are There Any Similar Deposit Options?

Yes, Visa’s main rival in the card services market is MasterCard. You will find many of the same services available from Visa are available with MasterCard.

Using a Visa Debit card is also very similar to using a Bank Transfer payment method. Instead of using your bank account details to make the transaction, you use the Visa card details linked to that account instead, but the net outcome of both transactions is the same (and both are free of charges).

Are Visa Deposits Safe To Use With Betting Sites?

Yes they are. As we have outlined above, while Visa cards are not the very safest option for depositing online with betting sites, the security that they have is still excellent and offers customers a high degree of confidence that their transactions are safe and secure.

Billions of transactions using Visa are completed every day with only a tiny fraction of a percentage fraudulent, so it is a very safe payment method to use when betting.

Will I Get The Welcome Offer If I Use Visa Deposit?

Yes. Sportsbook services will generally allow you to access almost any deposit-based offer provided that you make your deposit using a Debit card such as a Visa card.

Some bookmakers even stipulate that they will only accept deposits made using debit cards for their offers.

As such, if you do want to take up betting site Welcome Offers and similar, then depositing with a Visa card is a wise move.
