eSports Betting With Bet365

5|5

What are they like?

Most of the leading betting sites offer odds on varying eSports events, but few do a better job than Bet365, who offer a comprehensive eSports betting package.

Not only are there plenty of markets to choose from, but punters have the choice of many eSports to bet on, including popular options such as FIFA, Call of Duty, League of Legends, CS: GO and Dota 2.

Lots of markets and events are covered, with the coverage of UK eSports being particularly good, while the odds offered are rarely beaten. This is supplemented by a helpful and in-depth eSports betting news page, where betting tips and other related content can be found.

The only slight criticism is that Bet365 are one of the few operators to provide their own live streaming as opposed to using hugely popular Twitch streams, but that’s not a major issue as it’s easy enough to pull both up at the same time.

Very much eSports betting all-rounders, Bet365 ticks pretty much every box when it comes to eSports betting, so it’s little surprise that they come out as our top options – especially when you take the size of their welcome offer into account.

eSports Betting With Unibet

4|5

What are they like?

While eSports may be something of a back number for many betting sites, Unibet have given it the respect it deserves. Users are treated to a stylish interface, one that is easy to use, while there’s no shortage of options in terms of both eSports covered and markets offered.

Live streaming adds to the eSports betting experience offered by Unibet, as does the number of in-play markets. What sets Unibet apart from some of its competitors are the eSports betting guides. For example, players can read through what is an extensive FIFA betting guide, which answers some important questions before players begin betting on the virtual phenomenon. Ultimately, there are few chinks in the Unibet eSports betting armour.

The only slight negative that can be thrown the way of Unibet if that there are a select few niche games that can be bet on elsewhere not covered, but that’s not enough to detract from what is an overall excellent eSports product.

eSports Betting With Betvictor

5|5

What are they like?

One of the leaders in terms of sign-up offer value, BetVictor provides those punters looking to get in on the eSports action with some solid options. A range of sports are covered, including all the usual favourites such as CS: GO, League of Legends and FIFA, while there’s a pleasing range of both betting markets and leagues available to bet on.

Layout wise, BetVictor rank highly. eSports customers won’t have much difficulty finding what it is they’re looking for. In-play markets are laid out clearly at the top of the page, while upcoming matches can be found below, all of which have odds available and are turned in-play.

A nice touch is the “Trending Bet” section at the bottom of the page, which shows players popular current eSports bets. However, where BetVictor falls is the lack of live streaming, which for many punters is enough to go elsewhere.

eSports Betting With Paddy Power

4.5|5

What are they like?

While some bookmakers have given eSports a place on the side-lines, Paddy Power take their eSports action seriously, covering all the major leagues, carrying a plethora of leading games. That said, there could be more market variety when you drill down into the sports.

The in-play odds offered by Paddy Power are some of the better odds in the industry, while the market options in-play are more than sufficient too.

Regular promotions ensure that players at Paddy Power receive plenty of extra value with early payouts on certain events and a weekly rewards club both giving existing customers a reason to keep using the site.

Whilst Paddy’s in-play odds are strong we do have to mention the fact that often there are better priced bookmakers when it comes to pre-vent betting and if Paddy Power do want to become one of the best eSports betting sites out there, they’ll have to get more generous.

We’re also not the biggest fans of their welcome offer… hence why they feature a little father down our list than you might have expected.

eSports Betting With 888Sport

4.5|5

What are they like?

eSports bettors aren’t likely to be disappointed with what 888Sport has to offer. A big name in the online casino world, 888 has put the time and effort in to deliver an eSports product that hits the spot. Web users benefit form an eSports section that is easy to find and simple to use, while mobile users have been treated to much the same, but in slick app form.

With lots of in-play and pre-match options, there’s plenty of choice for bettors, who can take advantage of a sign-up offer which is applicable on eSports markets.

Various eSports leagues and competitions are available to bet on at 888Sport, with the choice being almost unlimited when it comes to action games such as Dota 2, League of Legends, Call of Duty, Fifa and CS:GO.

888Sport also offer more markets and betting options per event than most other firms and punters can also benefit from handy eSports information, such as latest news, as well as the basics for new players.

eSports Betting With William Hill

4.5|5

What are they like?

Like each of the betting sites to feature in our list, William Hill offers a more than reasonable range of eSports for wagering, including the usual suspects of FIFA, Dota 2, League of Legends and CS: GO – all the top competitions are covered. While most of the typical markets are available, there is however a lack of depth and compared to the best eSports betting sites in our list fewer wager types are possible.

You’ve got a solid, if not outstanding, welcome bonus available at William Hill which can triggered by betting on any of their gaming markets but outside of that offer very few of their others include eSports specifically.

William Hill are one of the more trusted names in the online scene and even though not the absolute best for eSports we could forgive punters for opting for them as their go to site favouring safety and security over market depth.

eSports Betting With Betfred

4|5

What are they like?

With their dedicated eSports hub, Betfred offer punters solid eSports coverage. All the major games, such as CS: GO, Dota 2 and League of Legends, as well as Call of Duty and Starcraft are covered.

You’ll find each of the main matches spread on a daily basis, while all the typical markets are on offer too, though it is slightly disappointing to find that as of yet, no live streaming is available, which realistically stops Betfred really challenging those who’re the best in the business when it comes to eSports betting.

On the flipside, what’s very likable about Betfred’s eSports hub is the plethora of information offered to help those who’re not eSports experts, such as the glossary section, which provides a breakdown of all the common terminology associated with eSports. There’s also a brief section about eSports history, which is useful too.

Plus the bonus is fully applicable to eSports bets an well above the industry average in terms of bonus amount.

eSports Betting With Coral

4.5|5

What are they like?

With lots of games, plenty of markets and all the typical in-play options, Coral is a viable option for the eSports bettor, though like a few of the other betting sites on this list, while far from terrible, they haven’t quite gone that extra mile.

The lack of live streaming is something of a disappointment, while there are no visible promotions aimed specifically at eSports.

You will however find everything you need for the basic eSports betting experience, but there’s no extra information, news or betting tips and market depth per event (the number of bets available) isn’t as wide as the likes of Bet365 or Betvictor.

Where Coral do shine though is through their welcome bonus which is well above the industry average in terms of bonus percentage and is perfect for beginner punters.

eSports Betting With Betfair

3.5|5

What are they like?

A more basic package is offered by exchange betting gurus Betfair, who are yet to place the same level of importance on eSports as some of its competitors. While all the major eSports are covered, and while there’s no lack of events to bet on, there’s little in the way of specific eSports extras.

You can use the welcome package available with Betfair to bet on eSports and release free bets which once again can be used on eSports markets but outside of that there’s little other value on offer for gaming punters specifically.

Plenty of markets, combined with lots of games, events and leagues being covered, is enough for Betfair to rank as one of the top eSports betting sites, but they don’t have what it takes to come out on top, with a few other sites simply offering more.

eSports Betting With Ladbrokes

4.5|5

What are they like?

Though their eSports betting options lack the substance of say a Bet365 or a Unibet, Ladbrokes rates as a reasonable provider across this category.

There are plenty of options in terms of types of eSport to bet on and many events are covered. Moreover, a selection of both pre-event and in-play markets gives punters lots of choice, while the addition of outright markets and odds for future events is a notable addition. New players can benefit from a reasonably run-of-the-mill sign-up offer which can be used to bet on eSports such as CS: GO and League of Legends.

The lack of features such as eSports news or betting tips means that Ladbrokes doesn’t offer the complete package, though if you’re not interested in such things, then you shouldn’t be too disappointed. Overall, a decent eSports betting site that lacks the extra touches to get amongst the best in the business.

World of Warcraft (WoW)

World of WarcraftA world renowned and hugely famous online role-playing game, WoW has also more recently been tweaked to include a competitive eSports element. Having once achieved a peak of 12 million global subscriptions, the number of WoW players has decreased in recent years and it is not a game that easily lends itself to Player vs Player (PvP) eSports play.

eSportsbooks Vs Traditional Sportsbooks

If you take a look at the top eSports betting sites at the start of this page you will notice that amongst the names of immediately recognisable and famous online sportsbooks, there are also a few less familiar betting sites. These are sites which have grown up specifically for eSports betting and only offer markets on eSports events and tournaments. That begs the question, therefore, of what the benefits are of using either an eSportsbook or a traditional sportsbook.

Why Use An eSportsbook?

  • They tend to cover a wider variety of eSports than traditional sportsbooks.
  • For those eSports which they do cover, they also tend to offer a wider selection of betting markets.
  • Thanks to their ultimate focus on eSports, any offers or promotions run by an eSportsbook will also be similarly eSports centric.

Why Use a Traditional e?

  • Traditional sportsbooks are generally more established and have a proven track record, making them more trustworthy and potentially more reliable.
  • eSports markets are presented alongside markets for other sports, making it easier for any punters who wish to bet on both.
  • Betting on eSports through a traditional sportsbook works in exactly the same way as betting on other sports, so can contribute to existing loyalty schemes, promotions and bonuses.

eSports FAQ

Questions & Answers

Why Don’t All Bookmakers Offer All eSports?

eSports are generally speaking pretty new, with competitive tournaments and events only dating back a handful of years, even for the most-established and popular of video games. Betting on such tournaments is even newer still, with the idea of doing so not having taken off until a good while after competitive eSports play was established. As such, many bookmakers are only just starting to move into the world of eSports and that is why not all sites yet offer an entirely comprehensive eSports betting service.

Is eSports Betting Legal?

The simple answer to this question is yes, assuming that you live in a country where online gambling in general is legal. eSports betting, after all, is not really that different to betting on any other sport, politic event or TV show. It’s likely that countries will seek to regulate eSports betting specifically in the not too distant future, but there’s no reason to suspect that those nations where online betting is already legal will make any kind of exception for eSports betting.

What Are the Betting Limits Like for eSports?

If you’re betting on eSports with a traditional sportsbook or existing betting site, their general rules on betting limits will still apply and are not altered for eSports betting. The newer eSportsbooks on the other hand will all apply their own betting limits and these should be made apparent within their terms and conditions.

Can I Bet In-Play on eSports?

Traditional sportsbooks are starting to rapidly improve their eSports betting services but, at time of writing, not many of them take the eSports markets they provide in-play. Fortunately, however, a handful of the best eSportsbooks do cater for in-play eSports betting. Not all matches or all events do go in-play even at those sites, but many which do also benefit from live streams of the matches as they happen.

Can I Request Odds if They Aren’t Listed?

The answer to this question will differ depending on the site at which you are attempting to bet on eSports. Major, traditional bookmakers tend to try to respond positively to customer’s requests for odds as and when they can but if they’re not listing any markets for an eSports event at all it is unlikely that they will be able to price it up for you. eSportsbooks tend to cover a wider array of events anyway, but if they are not offering the odds you want, they may not yet have the capability to provide them for you individually. In either case, however, it is always worth contacting the betting site and asking.

Where can I bet on eSports?

You can bet on eSports at most of the major online bookmakers, though not all eSports betting sites are created equal. By offering things like extra markets, better odds, sport-specific promotions, and generally putting together a more appealing eSports betting package Bet365 are without a doubt the top online option.

What eSports can you bet on?

The most popular eSports you can bet on are FIFA, Dota 2, CS: GO and League of Legends, though some operators also offer odds on eSports such as Call of Duty, Starcraft and Overwatch as well.

What’s the best eSports betting site?

As if the case for lots of sports, for our money, Bet365 is the best eSports betting site. By offering live streaming, plus the widest range of markets and events, Bet365 have provided punters will an almost complete eSports betting platform. What’s particularly good about Bet365 is the depth they cover all events and matches offering way more than just the standard basic to win markets.

Which is the best eSports betting app?

Offering everything that the main site offers, the Bet365 eSports betting app is the best for punters on the move. With a specific focus on UK markets that many other firms can’t match, more bets per event than other bookmakers and the biggest welcome bonus around Bet365’s app stands head and shoulders above it’s competitors.
