Which Bookmakers Have The Best Cash Out?

Last Updated: March 4, 2024

Best Cash OutThere are some features that we as punters take for granted as being part of any betting site worth its salt. Cash out falls comfortably within that category. Any site that doesn’t let you take winnings early or cut your losses via cash out is hardly worth bothering with.

Not all cash out functions are made equal, though. The cash out features offered by some bookies have a few extra bells and whistles that make them better for punters.

Read on, and we’ll show you the best betting sites for cash out. We’ll also drill down a little into exactly how cash out works.

Best Cash Out Bookmakers: Top 9

The following is a list of the best cash out bookmakers for online punters:

  1. Bet365
  2. Betvictor
  3. William Hill
  4. Coral
  5. Betfair
  6. Ladbrokes
  7. Paddy Power
  8. Betfred
  9. 888Sport

#1 – Bet365.com (Auto, Partial & Regular)

Bet365 Cash OutIn the area of cash out, we’ve found Bet365 have always been trailblazers (and that’s common in a lot of areas as our Bet365 review will attest to). They were the first sportsbook, to our knowledge, to introduce the original feature. They were also at the vanguard when it comes to partial cash out. Both of those handy features are now offered by the bookie alongside their auto cash out feature.

That lets punters set up their bets to cash out if the offer reaches a certain level. They don’t need to do it themselves. Bet365 are still the only major bookie we can find with this handy extra cash out function.

What is Cash Out?

Cash out is a feature that lets punters close out a bet before its natural conclusion. Bookies offer a monetary amount that the punter can take, rather than letting the bet ride all the way to its end. If the bet is looking likely to be a winner, the amount offered will be higher, and vice versa. Cash out, therefore, is a good way to either take some early winnings risk-free or to cut your losses.

How Does It Work?

Cash Out In-PlayBookies display a cash out symbol for the markets where the feature is available. If you place an eligible bet on those markets, the cash out option will be available to you straight away. There is usually a ‘Cash Out’ specific area of your betting account. That’s where you can see all your open bets with cash out available.

On the cash out page, the amounts being offered to cash out each bet will get displayed. You’ll see a ‘Cash Out’ button for each that you can press to take that amount in full. Where partial cash out is available, you’ll also see a slider.

You can move that slider to change the amount you may choose to cash out. When you do partially cash out, you’ll get your chosen amount, whilst the bet continues to ride. The remainder of the bet has a reduced stake and therefore a smaller ultimate payout.

Full & Partial Cash Outs: In Action

The best way to show how full and partial cash out works is with an example. Let’s assume you’ve placed a cash out eligible £10 bet at odds of 5/1 on Man United to win a match. The following are examples of how full and then partial cash out can work:

Example One:

Man United go two goals up early in the match. You head to the cash out section of your account and see that you’re being offered £30 to cash out. You click ‘Cash Out’ and take the offer. £30 is added to your account and whatever happens in the rest of the match doesn’t matter. You don’t lose that money, but you also don’t get any more, even if United win.

Example Two:

Man United go two goals up early in the match. You head to the cash out section of your account and see that you’re being offered £30 to cash out. You move the partial cash out slider until it offers you the chance to cash out £10.

You’ll then see how much you will now win if you cash out £10 and let the rest of the bet ride. Your bookie shows you that if you cash out £10, you’d get a further £25 if the bet wins. You cash out the £10. If Man United go on to win, you’ll get that additional £25. If they don’t, you get no further cash but don’t lose your £10.
