Fun88 is an online sports betting brand owned by a company called Welton Holdings Ltd. That company is fully licensed to provide betting and entertainment services to punters from the UK and beyond.

They hold a licence from the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission which allows them to cater to punters across Europe, as well as a remote gambling licence from the UK Gambling Commission. That latter licence lets them legally serve punters in the UK and also means that Fun88 must adhere to the high standards which the UKGC require from online bookmakers.

Regardless of being fully licensed they have no track record to speak of and are new to the market. For this reason, and until they prove otherwise, we have to advise some caution when it comes to using their service.

• The registered address of the Fun88 headquarters is found in the Isle of Man but the company serve customers all over the globe, with their original base of operations having been in Asia.

• The bookmaker is part of the well-respected third party arbitration scheme, IBAS, and is also affiliated with responsible gambling organisation GamCare.
• As is the case with all comparatively newer online bookmakers, it will still take time for Fun88 to completely prove themselves in the eyes of punters.

How To Deposit To Fun88

Somewhat unusually, when you make your first deposit with Fun88, you have to make it using a debit card.

The other payment methods you can use will become available once you have completed your first deposit via a debit card, This is pretty unusual and of course, not particularly flexible for people that do not want to use their personal bank account to make a deposit.

To place your first deposit after you have registered, click on your Account details and click on the Deposit option.

For your first deposit, you must use a debit card, so click on that option and enter your debit card details. Also select how much you want to deposit and then click the button.

The funds should be transferred into your account immediately.

For subsequent deposits, you should be able to use other payment methods accepted on the site including Neteller and Skrill.

How To Withdraw From Fun88

You can withdraw from your Fun88 account in very much the same way and using the same method that you last used to deposit on the site.

Click on your account and then click withdraw. Then enter the details of how much you would like to withdraw when you have selected the payment method you wish to withdraw to.

You will be required to submit ID to prove your identity and to stop money laundering as is standard on UK betting sites now, but once you have completed this once, you should not get asked on every withdrawal request.

If you subsequently use Skrill as a payment method, you need to process your withdrawal through Skrill too.

How Long Does It Take To Withdraw At Fun88?

Withdrawals via debit card can take up to five days to appear in your account. However, withdrawals via Neteller and Skrill can take from just a few hours to up to a day to appear in your account.

Remember though, if you are required to verify your identity before you withdraw, then this may delay the withdrawal by a day or two usually while your ID is verified by the site.

Quite simply there are way to few options for getting in touch if customer service is needed and compared to the bigger bookmakers their offering is pretty laughable.

Fun88 Mobile Review

Fun88 does not offer its own app, but instead uses a mobile site which you can access via a browser on your mobile device. The mobile site is essentially the same as the desktop site, with just a little tweaking to the formatting and links to better suit mobile devices.

That means that while it retains the eye-catching looks of the site, it also suffers from the same issues as the desktop site, which we will explain more fulsomely below.

The one marked thing you do notice though is that there is not as much to pick from as on other sites although to be fair, you can access e-sports and virtuals from the app and main site, but a lack of sports is going to put customers off.

The mobile site seemed to have fewer issues than the desktop site, so it was our preferred choice of the two available, but the difference was very small.

Fun88 Desktop Review

The Fun88 site is a real mix. On the one hand, it is one of the nicer looking sites available today and even the white background, with the pictures and (limited) offers scrolling through as well as the light blue feature links, it all looks good and the layout is straightforward.

Now while most of what we used on the site worked well, we did have a few issues with stability. The very first issue we had was the site hanging when we registered with the site, not a great impression when you are wanting to sign up with a site.

Also, the site’s old offer, which wasn’t huge anyway, now seems to have been taken off for new customers. So why would you want to sign up compared to a site that offers new users a great deal? It doesn’t make sense.

Add to that the lack of sports compared to the top sites and even though Fun88 may be pleasing on the eye, but like nouvelle cuisine, it’s all style and no substance.

How To Join Fun88

Joining Fun88 is simple and can be completed on the desktop and mobile version of the website.

1. Click on the Join button in the top right corner of the home page.
2. There are three pages to fill in on the registration form, personal details, contact details and your account information. Complete all the boxes on these three pages.
3. At the foot of the third page, you need to click the reCAPTCHA box and then select which method you want Fun88 to contact you with (if any) and then confirm you are over 18.
4. After which hit the button and your account will be registered.

Having talked about just who Fun 88 are and looked at the payment methods which they support, it’s time to turn our attention to the actual features of their online betting service. The most obvious place to start in that regard is with an overview of the markets which the bookmaker offer to punters.

What the above list reveals is that Fun88 have a solid range of markets available it’s no short of what you’d expect to see. The problems start to come when you look more in-depth at these markets, in terms of bets per market, and the options for live streaming.

Many of the more obscure events and matches which the bookie price up do only have a simple event winner market available for them, which marks them down, but to be fair most higher profile events benefit from far more markets.

The biggest matches in the biggest competitions, such as Premier League football matches, regularly have close to 100 separate markets offered by Fun88. In-play is also offered but live streaming is not available which is a real negative.

As you can see from the screenshot above the live betting service offered by Fun88 is primitive and doesn’t compare well to the bigger online bookmakers.

A quick click from the Fun88 homepage will take you straight to the dedicated live betting area of their site, where events currently in-play are arranged by sport.

Plenty of different sports see events go in-play with Fun88 but it is unquestionable football and tennis which are the two best served by the bookmaker. Upcoming in-play events from those and other sports can be easily discovered using Fun88’s ‘Live Schedule’, which is a handy little tool in of itself. Events which are taken in-play often benefit from an impressive number of varied markets, all of which are displayed clearly within the in-play interface for the event.

That interface also features a live scoreboard at the top but, unlike the scoreboards provided by many bookies, they don’t generally feature any statistics beyond the main score of event in question.

Fun88 in-play interfaces are also generally lacking in any graphics offering live updates from events, which again is a feature that many rival firms do supply.

Before drawing our final conclusions about Fun88 and the service they offer punters, we ought to take a minute to describe their welcome promotion for new customers…

Surprisingly the company have recently taken the decision to remove their welcome offer completely. Obviously not a popular choice with ourselves but to be honest the previous bonus was total trash anyway so it makes little difference.

The previous offer would provide a bonus token worth up to £28 but wass very complicated and required that new customers place a total of £168 in bets to release the bonus.

With wagering requirements like that in place previously and no bonus offered now we strongly advise punters to look elsewher – our Fun88 review score for the bonus… a big fat zero.

As there appears to be no welcome bonus available at Fun88 at the present moment, at least not for new customers, then there is no bonus to activate.

Given the competition you’d expect newer entrants to it to pull out all of the stops in order to try to attract customers.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Fun88, who provide an OK service but not one that matches let alone betters that provided by the more established bookies.

Fun88 do compete fairly well when it comes to the markets they offer across many different sports, and have a serviceable in-play offering. That offering is largely skewed towards football and tennis, however, and features in-play interfaces which are lacking in comparison to those offered by the established bookies.

What’s really extraordinary bad about Fun88, however, is that they don’t offer new customers a welcome bonus!

Given that, it has to be said that there’s very little reason why a punter currently betting with an established bookmaker ought to leave them in favour of Fun88.
