Football Betting Tips – 6-8th May
This weekend’s Premier League tips takes on a slightly different duration to normal and that is because we only have seven games across Saturday and Sunday, with three games on the extra Bank Holiday Monday.
So in a break from tradition, I’ve included the three games on Monday as I feel there are going to be some good value odds in those games and it also serves as a nice prelude for the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League Semi Final 1st Leg ties taking place from Tuesday to Thursday.
A fortnight ago, we made a £10 loss on the weekend’s games, but we bounced back last weekend with a fantastic return on our tips as not only did Liverpool win and both teams score in the game with Spurs, which offered me a £29 return, Newcastle did the business and did indeed win 3-1 against Southampton for a fabulous £130 return.
That makes £119 profit last weekend, another £100+ win in the space of a few weeks!
With big wins coming in, especially on the Correct Score tips, I am going to try and keep using these in with my other shorter odds selections to try and keep the profit rolling in and the bookies on their toes!

Analysis
Wolves will come into this game with the bit between their teeth, seeking to bounce back after a 6-0 mauling away to Brighton last weekend, but they face an Aston Villa side who have been in superb form of late, with their loss to Manchester United last weekend their first defeat in 11 games, 8 of which they won.
That Brighton debacle apart, Wolves form of late has been much improved and with home wins over Spurs, Chelsea, Brentford and Crystal Palace of late, they have moved themselves away from the relegation zone, although are not mathematically safe just yet.
That kind of solid home form means that I can’t really rule out Wolves getting a result here, even against a side like Villa who have been in generally good form. However, Villa have won once in their last three games and that came at home, whereas they have drawn away at Brentford as well as losing to United.
As such, I see this being a very closely contested Midlands derby game and while I can’t see Wolves losing here, I also feel that Aston Villa are in too good a run of form to also lose the game, hence I think a score draw is the likely option here.

Analysis
This should be an absolutely cracking game between the second and third placed teams in the Premier League. Newcastle will want to win to keep up their advantage over Manchester United in fourth and to close the gap on Arsenal, whereas the Gunners need to win in order to keep as much pressure as they can on Manchester City.
Both these teams have lost just four times this season and of those eight total defeats, Liverpool and Manchester City have been responsible for five of them. They drew 0-0 when the two met at the Etihad earlier on in the season and at the moment, it is Newcastle who are enjoying the better form having won four of their last five, while Arsenal have just one win in that period.
The Geordies also have home advantage here, which is huge at a buzzing St James’ Park at the moment and their form is such that they have lost just once at home this season, picking up 36 points from 16 games. But they face an Arsenal team who have the best away record in the Premier League picking up 11 wins from 17 games on the road.
You can make a case for a win for either team here, form favours Newcastle, history favours Arsenal and I do feel we may break the streak of games where one or more team does not score in the fixture here as I can see Arsenal taking the lead and Newcastle striking back in the second half to claim the draw.

West Ham fans know that they will need one or maybe two wins to ensure their safety from relegation from the Premier League this season, but it is hard to see David Moyes’ team landing a win here against a side that they have lost seven of the last eight games against.
Erik Ten Hag’s team went down to a late defeat to Brighton in midweek, but that 1-0 loss to a penalty in injury time doesn’t really tell the story of the game where once again, Brighton were absolutely dominant, especially in the second half, and fully deserved to win the game and would have done so comfortably but for their profligacy in front of goal.
The home side can achieve great results from time to time but I think a win here is likely beyond them. Their best hope is that Man Utd are jaded from their midweek exploits against Brighton, but I think that is unlikely to be much of evidence here as United have a squad big enough to cope with two games in three days.
I can’t really find a great bet in the result market here as I am unsure how to go with this type of bet, so instead, I’ve found a great value offer in the anytime scorer market where Jarrod Bowen is 4/1 to score at any time in the game and I think that is an outstanding value bet.

Key Stats
Analysis
The phrase ‘relegation six-pointer’ is one that’s been used fairly frequently of late with Leicester V Everton last Monday and now Nottingham Forest facing Southampton this weekend, but this rings true for both these teams as they are now in the relegation zone with Forest in 18th on 30 points and Southampton in 20th on 24 points.
For Southampton, this is the point of no return. A defeat here would put Forest nine points ahead of them with three games left and indeed, if Leicester City also win, that would make it almost impossible for Southampton to avoid relegation. So there’s nothing for it here, Southampton must ho all out for the win.
For Nottingham Forest, the situation is more complex. A win would not guarantee them a move out of the relegation zone, but Leicester and Leeds would have to match that result to stay above them and with Leeds away to Manchester City and Leicester away to Fulham, that seems unlikely. A point would move them out of the drop zone if Leicester or Leeds, or both, lost their game.
Given Southampton’s plight I can see them being really focused on scoring here and they may get an early goal given their better away form, but I think Forest will nab a draw, maybe late on and both may have to settle for a nervy point here.
