Who Will Win the 2023-24 Champions League?
Last season finally saw Manchester City win the Champions League. Can they retain their title in the 2023-24 tournament?
Manchester City are the team to beat
It was an all-conquering Manchester City last season and they are 9/4 at BetVictor to again become European champions. Winning the Champions League in successive seasons isn’t an easy task. Only Real Madrid have managed it since Milan in 1990.
City will be without Kevin De Bruyne for the group stages but he’ll be back for the knockout rounds. With Erling Haaaland again in scoring form, they may well be lifting the Champions League trophy at Wembley next June.
What about the other English challengers? Manchester United are 16/1 at bet365 but don’t look to have it in them to become European champions.
BetVictor have Arsenal at 14/1 and they are likely to make it out of their group but won’t go deep. The same goes for Newcastle United (20/1 at William Hill) who lack experience at this level.
Bayern will be a threat
Bayern Munich have to be considered one of the favourites to become European champions. Harry Kane has already started scoring goals for them and Bayern look like being a force in Europe this season. They are 11/2 at William Hill to win the Champions League for the first time since 2020.
Real Madrid always have to be considered and you can get odds of 8/1 at bet365 on them winning a 15th title. Jude Bellingham has started well for them and Real have to be on the shortlist.
Barcelona will be glad to get out of the group stage first. They don’t want another transfer to the Europa League. Bet365 have them at 14/1 which looks good each-way value.
PSG are 16/1 at bet365 but always find a way not to win the Champions League. We go for Manchester City to retain the Champions League title.
