Markets & Odds
- 30+ sports
- Competitive prices throughout
- Live betting
- Live streaming
Our review will now look at the markets offered and the live betting suite.
William Hill are the UK’s most prominent chain of bookmakers in High Streets across the country and they’re also one of the biggest names in the online world. This massive exposure means that they have to offer a huge amount of different markets in order to keep their massive customer base happy. The markets offered by William Hill online include:
- American Football
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Bowls
- Boxing
- Cricket
- Cycling
- Darts
- eSports
- Football
- GAA Football
- GAA Hurling
- Golf
- Greyhounds
- Handball
- Horse Racing
- Ice Hockey
- Lottery
- MMA
- Motor Racing
- Motorbikes
- Politics
- Rugby
- Snooker
- Tennis
- TV
- UFC
- Virtual Betting
- Volleyball
- Winter Sports
It is clear to see the William Hill has one of the largest selections of different markets currently available. This means that the site is perfect for those who like to bet on a variety of different sports but who don’t want the hassle of using lots of different online bookmakers.
It’s also important to point out that they’ve got hundreds of different bets per event available. When you compare this to other reviewed bookmakers you’ll see many have 30-40 markets per event where as William Hill are more in the 80-110 range.
In-Play Betting
- Live betting with cash out
- Live streaming (multiple sports)
- Scores & stats
- Event sorting system
The in-play option offered by William Hill is regarding as one of the best online and it has a huge number of different markets available as well as live scores and even the chance to view various games streamed live alongside real time odds.
In game stats are available and detailed which is a big plus – many bookmakers don’t offer or struggle with this feature.
The section is found by clicking on the “In-Play Betting” tab just under all of the sport options and once you click, you will find a highly intuitive and informative page with all of the latest in-play options. The details found include the current odds – which change on an incredibly regular basis – as well as the current score and game stats, which are updated instantly and if the game is being shown live a live stream as well.
Live Streaming at William Hill…
William Hill are one of only a select few online bookmakers who now offer live streams of sporting events to their customers. To watch their live streams, horse racing excluded, you need a funded betting account or to have placed a bet within the last 24 hour period.
To watch horse racing at William Hill you need to have bet a minimum of £1 on the race, a 50p e/w bet would qualify.
Basketball, Football, Cricket and Tennis are the main live sports you’ll be able to view, and live UK and Irish Horse Racing of course, but other more obscure sports are also available. To see the full schedule visit https://www.williamhill.com and click ‘WHTV Schedule’.
Alternatively you can tell which events are being live streamed by looking out for the WHTV (William Hill TV) logo which is found next to the primary event market.
Overall it’s one of the better live sections and one of the only ones around to rival that on offer from Bet365 (who are widely considered to have the best offering in this department).
It’s important to note that live betting via the William Hill app mirrors the desktop options so you don’t lose out by using a particular device – it’s a thumbs up from us.

Overall Review
We give every single bookmaker we review a grade between 0 and 5 stars. This grade is to show users how safe and secure the site is as well as gives them an indication as to which we recommended as the best out there.
You’ve probably already noticed (at the top of this review page) that we’ve given William Hill a 4.5 star rating. It’s the second best rating we dish out behind 5 stars so firstly you’d be right to assume that we rate William Hill pretty highly.
They are one of the more cutting edge online bookmakers with live streaming available to users and live betting as well. Their diversity when it comes to odds and markets is good and they’ve got a great reputation in the gambling community world wide.
The only reason they don’t make the 5 star grade for us right now is due to the fact that there are better bookmakers out there when it comes to the generosity of odds on offer and the promotions that are running.
William Hill run a tight, no risk, bookies but it’s often the case that better odds can be found elsewhere. However we’re confident you could quite easily use Will Hill as your only bookmaker and you’d be more than happy with the service provided.

It might be a bit weird but I don’t like giving betting sites my card details so being able to use PayPal with William Hill is a massive plus for me. It doesn’t take nearly as long for withdrawn funds to go back into my PayPal account as it has with other payment methods and I’ve never been asked for ID or anything like that.
That’s the main reason that I rate William Hill more highly than other sites I’ve used, but their odds are pretty good too and certainly don’t seem any shorter than the odds I’ve got from other bookies.

Odds are so much better on the app than they are in the shops. No idea why this would be the case but I’ve been to Hills down the front street for the last time – not getting ripped off by them when I can flick my phone on and get much bigger prices.
Pretty annoying though… surely the same company should be giving the same prices to everyone?

Can’t really fault Hills but the odds online are always way better than down the shop so keep that in mind before you put your bets on. No idea why lyk but check it for yourself, it’s always different.

I’m happy to give William Hill 4/5 rating. They’ve got the best acca insurane of any bookie and obviously have been around for donkeys so you know they are reliable.
Website probably isn’t as good as some of the others but doesn’t bother me, am used to it, and wouldn’t keep my money anywhere else now. Only other bookmaker I bother with is Bet365 but don’t use that account as much as I used to.

Not too happy with Hills at the moment. I had £10 on MVG to score the most 180s in the Premier League final last week and the bet ended up getting voided because of what support said was an ‘odds error’. It’s not my fault if they list odds that are too high and punters take advantage.
It’s the first time this has ever happened to me so I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt but if it happens again I’ll be looking elsewhere.

If you want a site that’s good for all sports then William Hill is a decent shout. They’ve been my main bookie for a couple of months now and I’m happy with the level of service on offer.
The introductory offer is good value (if you don’t have an account) but if there’s one niggly issue is that I feel the website is a bit cluttered and is a bit difficult to navigate on handheld devices. Better odds online than you find in the shops too as others have reported.
