NFL Betting Sites For UK Punters

Last Updated: April 19, 2021
NFL Betting SitesWelcome to our NFL betting page. It’s not just the Yanks who bet on NFL these days so we sent our research team out to find the bookmakers offering the most value to punters and have come up with a comparison of the best NFL betting sites the web has to offer.

As the sport grows in popularity in the UK, with multiple matches now being played at Wembley every season, bookies have really turned their attention to the sport. Gone are the days of a basic interface which only offers match winner betting… it’s odds and markets galore from this point onwards.

But before we dive straight into where to bet first lets take a look at what punters should look out for before joining or using an online bookmaker – there’s plenty of extra value available if you know where to look.

NFL Punters Look Out For…

  • Acca Bonus – What’s better than a kick off returned for a touchdown? How about a site that offers you a fantastic acca bonus when you place your accumulator bets on NFL games? There are sites that do offer a range of bonuses across the NFL (and some even include other American-based sports too) and the benefits of these offers are so good that it is always something to look out for.
  • Early Payouts – Momentum is key in the NFL and sometimes, even teams with a big lead can lose a game. So a good way to protect a bet on a team that has opened up a big lead is with an early payout offer. Do check how many points your team needs to lead to receive the early payout as this can differ. This can mean you earn a payout even when your team throws away a big lead.
  • Promo Frequency – The NFL season always takes place at the same time each year, the regular season runs from September through to December, with the post season in January and into February. So what you want is a site that when it has promotions, has them regularly over this period (or ideally, throughout all of it).
  • Cash Out – As we mentioned in the Early Payouts section, momentum is absolutely key in the NFL and once a team loses it, then they can see a winning position into a losing one very quickly. When this starts to happen, a Cash Out feature is an invaluable tool for users to access as it can often preserve at least some of return or mitigate a loss.
  • Withdrawal Time – If you have landed a winner on your NFL bet, especially if you have landed an Acca Bonus win, then you will likely want to get your hands on your cash quickly, It’s a good idea to check what the withdrawal time is for your betting site so you know the amount of time that should pass between you making your request and that cash hitting your account.

NFL Betting Reviews

As the popularity of the NFL continues to skyrocket in the UK, online bookmakers are rapidly improving and updating their NFL betting offerings. The following trio of sites, however, already stand head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to serving punters in the UK and Europe who want to place bets on one of America’s biggest sports leagues.

#1 for NFL – Bet365

Bet365You only have to cast a brief glance at the American Football section of the Bet365 website to see that the bookmaker have you well and truly covered when it comes to betting on the NFL. Each and every regular and post season game are made available for punters to bet on and a large number of college football contests and even games from Canada are also regularly priced up.

The range of markets made available by Bet365 for NFL punters in the UK is also equally impressive. As well as having the standard moneyline, handicap (spread) and over/under markets for each game, the bookmaker also boast a huge array of others including things like first touchdown scorer, total field goals, longest touchdown scored and many more. Longer term bets such as each team’s regular season record, the eventual Superbowl winner and seasonal player specials are also included to round out Bet365’s awesome selection.

As if all of that weren’t enough, unlike many other bookmakers, Bet365 also have an ongoing promotions which apply to NFL betting. To see details click the link below and head to the ‘Promotions’ link at the bottom of the page. The promo is called Parlay bonus.

#2 for NFL – Betvictor

BetvictorBetvictor are another bookmaker who really do excel when it comes to providing for UK punters who wish to bet on the NFL. Just like Bet365, Betvictor also cover every single NFL game through the regular season and the playoffs, and their range of available betting markets is similarly impressive.

Each NFL game typically offers punters upwards of 30 different markets through Betvictor, with the usual moneyline, handicap and total points markets barely scratching the surface. On top of those, after all, Betvictor customers can also bet on the first team to commit a penalty, a range of potential winning margins and the highest scoring quarter in a game, amongst many other things.

Add to that the fact that Betvictor also offer a great selection of longer term outright bets, such as those able to be placed on the Superbowl winner, conference champions and plenty more besides, and you’ll see why Betvictor does rate as a great NFL betting site for UK punters.

#3 for American Football – William Hill

Will HillPerhaps most closely associated with horse and greyhound racing, William Hill’s general sports betting service is also one of the best around and that is never better demonstrated than by the outstanding NFL betting options they provide to punters.

All NFL games throughout the season from opening day all the way to the Superbowl itself are catered for, and each and every one of those games boast a huge array of available markets to bet on.

William Hill punters can, for instance, place a wager on the total number of touchdowns, the team to win each quarter and loads of other similar options as well as the standard handicap and moneyline alternatives. Seasonal special bets, too, are provided by William Hill and include the ability to bet on the Superbowl winner, the seasonal rushing leader and the league MVP.

Setting William Hill apart from many other bookmakers, too, is the fact that they also run an ongoing NFL specific promotion. Named ‘Drive 55’, the offer relates to all televised NFL games and provides a 15% free bet bonus on top of winnings earned through successful moneyline or match spread (handicap) markets, if the game features more than 55 total points.

NFL Bet Type FAQ

As a US rather than UK or European based sports league, the betting options related to the NFL are somewhat different to those which UK based punters may be used to. To help you get a better handle on what options are available, we’ve defined and explained three of the most popular NFL bet types below.

Moneyline – Probably the simplest and most straightforward of NFL bets, a moneyline wager is quite simply a bet on which of the two teams in the contest you think will win. A bet with only two options, it refers to the final result of a game either at the end of normal time or after the period of overtime which NFL games always have if they end tied.

Handicap (Spread) – Handicap betting is probably the most popular type of gambling on the NFL and American football in general. For each game, bookmakers will assign a number of points by which they believe a team to be favourites of underdogs and a handicap bet is a wager on that team to exceed that expectation.

A team, for example, may be given a handicap of -7 which means that they are expected to win by seven points. A handicap bet on them at -7, therefore, is a bet which pays out if they win by eight points or more. A bet on their opponents at +7, meanwhile, is successful if that team wins or loses by fewer than seven points.

Total Points (Over/Under) – The third of our trio of most popular NFL bet types, total points bets ask punters to bet on whether there will be over or under a certain points total scored in any given match. The exact points total for the over/under varies from one game to another and is set by each individual bookmaker.
